How do I do recipe gift cards?

I want to print some of my favorite recipes on cards for gifts. Is there an easy way of doing this on my computer? I don't want to have to hand print a lot of them on recipe cards. Any other ideas about this?

You can definitely do this on your computer! If you have Microsoft Word, there are even templates with holiday themes and graphics such as ornaments, holly, etc. Just type "recipe cards" in the Help box at the top of the screen to preview the sample templates.

If you prefer to use plain paper (or add your own illustrations), click on File-Page Setup-Paper. From that drop-down menu, you can choose the size of the recipe/index card you wish to use (3x5, 4x6, etc). Be sure to check your printer for the proper way to load smaller sizes of paper to avoid paper jams and ink waste!

You could purchase an inexpensive recipe card file for each gift recipient to complete the present, or just wrap the cards with a pretty ribbon and perhaps add a simple kitchen gadget, such as a cookie cutter or refrigerator magnet.
